Family Movie Night: Saturday, September 14 @ 5:30 PM

Join us for our Family Movie Night!  This event will be outside our church on a giant projector. Bring your lawn chairs, and we’ll supply the popcorn!

Connect Groups are launching soon! Connect Groups is one of the best ways to get plugged in with the community at Calvary church. Most groups meet one night a week, and include formative time fellowship, meals, Bible study, prayer, and worship. We’ll be launching groups the build communities of young adults, families with children, and those looking to fellowship in an inter-generational context.

Meet Campus Pastor: Daniel Stidham

Daniel Stidham is the proud husband of Megan Stidham and is the father of strong-lunged baby Nora. He was rescued by Jesus as a Junior in High School and he has been discipled by incredible men whom God used to shape him into the man he is today. On a personal level, Daniel is acquainted with difficult family dynamics but he has an even greater acquaintance with the power of God through Jesus Christ.

After he graduated from the University of Houston in 2011 with a degree in Finance, God first called him to be a marketplace missionary in the banking world. After 4 years of working for JPMorgan Chase, God called him to church ministry as the Director of College ministry at First Presbyterian Church of Houston. After two years of serving campuses around Houston, Daniel was promoted to Director of Evangelism where he served for the last two years.

He will graduate from Western Theological Seminary in May of 2019, which will prepare him for a new chapter of ministry in Oak Lawn in June of 2019. You will generally find him eating new food with new friends, organizing random people to play board games, reading or having conversations at coffee shops, or attempting to secure a firm mediocrity at most sports.

He also wears a fanny pack that he calls his fifth/missional/prayer pocket. View Daniel’s blog here.
